Arbor Day is a national holiday. It is a time to promote the care and planting of trees to our youth and within our communities. Arbor Day is April 24, 2009, the last Friday of the month.

The NYS Arbor Day Planning Committee is currently accepting artwork and photography for consideration for the 2009 New York State Arbor Day Poster. Submissions must be received by November 1, 2008. Access your Entry Form here.

New York State Nursery & Landscape Association Kicks Off State Fair in Style

Association honors members and green industry partners

On Thursday, August 21, 2008 the rays of sun streaming into the Court of Honor of the Horticulture Building were proof of a glorious opening day of the New York State Fair in Syracuse. It’s a long-time tradition of the New York State Nursery and Landscape Association’s (NYSNLA) to hold its Award Ceremony on opening day of the New York State Fair. Mike Pollack, NYSNLA President (The Flanders Group) began this year’s program by welcoming guests and thanking all for their support in our award recipients.
